2009 Verdun Park Wines Museum Release Albert Arthur Shiraz
2009 ‘Albert Arthur’ Shiraz spent 18 months in French Oak, is a vibrant cherry red with a plum and peppery nose followed by a spicy fruit palate. Beautiful fruit from Woodside was handpicked and crafted into a fine example of Adelaide Hills shiraz. With over 14 years of bottle age now, this wine is showing gorgeous complexity. Named in honour of Bob’s father Albert Arthur Byrne Voumard, this wine is our flagship. Pairs beautifully with an open fire, delicious food and great company!
The 2009 vintage of Albert Arthur Shiraz gained exceptional results at a number of wine shows, particularly the 2012 Adelaide Hills Wine Show & 2013 Royal Melbourne Wine Show where it received gold medals and rated 95+ points at both. In fact, it was just half a point off winning the overall Shiraz trophy that year at the Adelaide Hills Wine Show.
